MUSIC

Musicweb
A large site, perhaps most noted for its huge stock of reviews of classical CDs and concerts. Many articles on music and musicians. Based in England, the site is international in scope but especially strong on English music.

Classical.net
The American equivalent of Musicweb, though not as dynamic in terms of timeliness. Similar stock of reviews, but organized in such a way that it is easy to find book reviews on musical topics, etc. There is a extensive series of links on www.classical.net/music/links/.

International Music Score Library Project
Thousands of out of domain scores, all genres. Some come with parts in addition to the scores. Some include arrangements or transcriptions of a given work. Recordings cited as well. This is an ongoing project, becoming larger all the time.

Operaglass
Everything opera. Composers, works, singers, performances, recordings, and a nice selection of links.

Lied, Art Song, and Choral Texts Page
Texts of lieder in their original language.

Audiogon
A major source for buying and selling audio equipment. Contains ads and a great deal of discussion on audio equipment, old and new. The Canadian equivalent, which may prove useful to American buyers, is www.Canuckaudio.com

MOVIES AND THEATER

Internet Movie Data Base
A popular and exhaustive site on all things cinema. International in scope. Excellent for information on movies, actors, directors, etc. The criticisms of movies are often extensive and some are written on a professional level, though most are supplied by users.

Internet Broadway Data Base
Does almost the same for Broadway that IMDB does for movies. I couldn't find reviews on the Broadway data base.
