The City of Cambridge’s Commission on Immigrant Rights & Citizenship (CIRC) is hosting its second Immigrant Communities Welcome event on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Cambridge Public Library Lecture Hall and Community Room, 449 Broadway. Event will include a light lunch.  All are welcome.

The welcome event will feature three films from the documentary series New Immigrant & Refugee Visions (NIRV), providing unique insider perspectives of these immigrants’ integration challenges and the contributions they make to our culture, economy, and social fabric in Massachusetts. Following the film showings, the filmmakers and their subjects will engage with the audience about their experiences as immigrants and with immigration to the U.S.  Afterward, a light lunch including foods from various cultural traditions will be shared.
