Notice from City of Cambridge Board of Assessors Regarding FY22 Revaluation Process

The Cambridge Board of Assessors announces that they have completed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Revaluation as part of a 5-year Recertification of Values required by statue. The proposed values are pending Preliminary and Final Certification by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

These values will be available for inspection beginning Monday, September 13, 2021 through Friday September 17, 2021 at the Assessing Department office at Cambridge City Hall, Room 201, 795 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139.

The Board of Assessors is required by Massachusetts General Law to value all real and personal property within their community at full and fair cash value each January 1st. For FY 2022, the new property values reflect full and fair cash values as of January 1, 2021. The proposed values will be the basis of real estate taxes for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022.

Taxpayers may review the proposed values of their assessments at the Assessing Department, Room 201 of City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139. The Assessing Department may also be reached by phone at 617-349-4343 or via email at assessors@cambridgema.gov.

The proposed assessed values will be available between the following hours:

Monday 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM
Tuesday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Wednesday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Thursday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday 8:30 AM to 12 Noon
