Cambridge Arts During Reopening

caution sign The information on this page may be outdated as it was published 3 years ago.

Cambridge Arts is reopening with adjusted hours and new safety precautions to stem the spread of coronavirus as part of the City of Cambridge’s and Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ reopening plans. See cambridgema.gov/covid19 for all the lastest updates from the City.

Cambridge Arts Office Open by Appointment: As part of Cambridge's efforts to stem COVID-19, Cambridge Arts' office is open to members of the public, by appointment only, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments can be made by phone at 617-349-4380 or by email at cambridgearts@cambridgema.gov.

Virtual Office Hours: Cambridge Arts will continue to provide regular weekly community check-ins and office hours virtually. To join the virtual office hours on Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 12 noon, please contact Kirsten Swartz, Community Arts Administrator at kswartz@cambridgema.gov.

Gallery 344: Cambridge Arts’ gallery remains closed until further notice.

Street Performers: The Cambridge Street Performer Program has been temporarily suspended since April 30, 2020 in light of the social distancing requirements designed to prevent the community spread of COVID-19. That suspension remains in place for the time being, though we hope to be able to restart the program in the near future. The City's policy on issuing permits is being evaluated on a weekly basis and aligns with the decisions made by the MA Governor's office around reopening phases. When we are able to safely meet and gather again, we will be able to issue permits to all interested performers and enjoy your creative expression in our public spaces throughout the city. We will update the Street Performer email list when we are able to restart the Street Performer Program.
