Cambridge Zoning Ordinance Now Available on Municode

The Cambridge Zoning Ordinance is now accessible on Municode, an online platform that is the nation’s leading publisher of local government codes and ordinances.

Following the transition to Municode, the Cambridge Zoning Ordinance is now hosted in the same place as the rest of the Cambridge Municipal Code of Ordinances. The platform includes a left navigation pane listing all of the Ordinance’s articles, making it easier for the user to scroll and read different segments of the Cambridge Zoning Ordinance.

Municode also provides improved searchability by keyword. For example, searching the word “tree” displays all sections of the Zoning Ordinance that contain reference to trees, as well as other City ordinances related to trees.

Additionally, by selecting the “Show Changes” option in the top right corner of the screen, users can view recent changes to the Ordinance. They can also print or export specific sections.

Both the Community Development Department’s Zoning webpage and the City Clerk’s website link to the Zoning Ordinance on Municode.
