The City of Cambridge is recruiting applicants to take the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Municipal Firefighter Exam on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Learn more about a rewarding career with the nationally rated Class 1 Cambridge Fire Department during a candidate Open House and information session Tuesday, January 21, at 6 p.m., at the Elks Club, 55 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge.

 
This examination is being held to establish an eligible list from which to fill Firefighter vacancies in civil service cities and towns. The 2020 Municipal Firefighter Exam consists of two components, a written test 50% and an entry-level physical ability test (ELPAT) 50%. The examination fee is $200 and the application deadline is February 4, 2020. A $50 late fee will be incurred for applications received after February 4, 2020. Applications will not be accepted after February 18, 2020.
