Police units were dispatched to the benches in front of the 700 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of three people using heroin. Officers identified three individuals on scene and a needle was disposed of at the police station.

Cambridge Police responded to Massachusetts Avenue and Essex Street for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, Cambridge Police discovered an uncooperative victim with minor head injuries following an alleged fight and possible robbery attempt between two individuals that are homeless. It was confirmed there was no stabbing.
