To celebrate Women’s History Month, Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui is announcing an art contest for the second year in a row. The contest is open to all Cambridge students in grades 6 to 8.
Students are encouraged to submit 1 original visual, written or video artwork to celebrate Women’s History Month. At the end of March, the Mayor will select 3 winners who will each receive a prize. All submissions will be displayed in the Main Library.
"I want our youth to celebrate through art and use their creativity to show the importance of Women’s History Month,” said Mayor Siddiqui. “I was so impressed by last year’s submissions and I am excited to bring back this contest again.”
Each student can submit one piece of original work of the following: visual art or poetry relating to a Women’s History Month theme. Please submit by Monday, March 28th.
For more information and to submit your artwork, please email Mayor Siddiqui’s Community Outreach Manager, Subu Karmacharya, at skarmacharya@cambridgema.gov.
