Cambridge Week of the Young Child: April 10-16

The Cambridge Week of the Young Child, hosted by the Cambridge Birth to 3rd Partnership, is an opportunity to recognize the essential work of early childhood educators, offer engaging and educational virtual sessions, and celebrate how they have adapted to support children during the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in the past year. The Birth to 3rd Grade Partnership invites early childhood educators, families, and the Cambridge community to participate in an exciting week of virtual professional learning opportunities, interactive workshops, and networking events.

The Cambridge Week of the Young Child kicks off on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. with an opening session featuring Dr. Lisa Grant, Executive Director of the Birth to 3rd Grade Partnership, Dr. Michelle Madera, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education, Ellen Semonoff, Assistant City Manager for Department of Human Services Programs, and a special keynote from Cambridge Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui. Join these City leaders as they share more about the Birth to 3rd Grade Partnership, the week's events, and the City's vision for, and commitment to, early childhood education. Pre-registration is required and a zoom link will be sent one day prior to the event. For a schedule of virtual events happening throughout the week, click here.

Sustained by the Department of Human Service Programs and Cambridge Public Schools, the Birth to 3rd Grade Partnership serves as Cambridge’s central coordinating hub for early childhood information and quality improvement and includes school and community-based early childhood education, home visiting, and family support and engagement.
