Looking for fun outdoor activities to do with your young children this summer? Join the Department of Human Service Programs' Community Schools division for "Arts in the Park" activities at Cooper Park and Riverside Press Park this summer!

Morning Activities

Cooper Park (Hancock St.)
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. 
Enjoy face painting, chalk drawing, bubbles, jewelry making and story time.

Riverside Press Park (River St. at Memorial Dr.)
Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Enjoy arts & crafts activities and sprinkler play! Performances are held every Thursday at 11 a.m.

Entertainment begins at 11 a.m.

  • Thursday, July 10: Jenny the Juggler
  • Thursday, July 17: Davey the Clown
  • Thursday, July 24: Malik, Magical Comedy Entertainer
  • Thursday, July 31: Drumming with Jafar
  • Thursday, August 7: Justin Petty, Steel Drummer
  • Thursday, August 14: Ricardo Frota, Ecology of Sound

Evening Activities

Cooper Park (Hancock St.), 6 - 7 p.m.
