Joint Statement from Mayor Siddiqui and City Manager DePasquale on Passing of Dr. Robert Moses

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Robert Moses, civil rights giant and Algebra Project pioneer. His contributions to the civil rights movement and his unwavering dedication to the progress of mathematics education to lift up youth in Cambridge and beyond will continue to impact our society. The legacy of Dr. Robert Moses as a role model to so many people is memorialized for future generations of Cantabrigians at the City's Dr. Robert Moses and Dr. Janet Moses Youth Center.

We mourn the loss of Dr. Robert Moses and extend our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones. We will continue to be inspired by his life's work and the City is committed to finding ways to celebrate Dr. Moses’ legacy in the future.
