Cambridge Police responded to a check parking complaint on Cherry Street. After speaking with involved parties, it was determined that two vehicles were involved in a minor crash in a private driveway. Information between the involved parties was exchanged. One party alleged that they were assaulted and physically threatened by the other, which put them in fear for their safety.

Cambridge Police responded to a hotel on Bennett St. A male identified as Shane Sullivan, 38, 46 Monadnock Street in Boston, who was not a guest of the hotel, was on the property and refusing to leave. Upon arrival to the hotel, Sullivan identified himself to Officers on scene and his identity was confirmed via a bracelet on his wrist. Sullivan was found to have two warrants out of Boston District Court, including Defrauding an Innkeeper Under $100 and Breaking and Entering Nighttime for a Felony. Sullivan was placed under arrest without incident.

Officers responded to the area of Prospect St. and Mass Ave for a report of an individual who threatened kids with a weapon. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting person who stated while operating his motor vehicle on Prospect Street, he exchanged words with a bicyclist. The reporting person stated the suspect in question never mentioned possessing a weapon nor displayed a weapon. The bicyclist rode off without further incident.

Officers were dispatched to a Memorial Drive address for the report of a larceny that just occurred. After an investigation, it was determined that Steven Pope, 61, 604 East Seventh Street in Boston, had taken possession of an Apple iPad Pro 11 from the business, exited, and returned without the iPad. Pope was placed under arrest for Larceny over $1,200. It was also discovered there were three warrants for Pope's arrest.

A Cambridge resident reported that their vehicle had been struck by another at the intersection of Main St. and Portland St. causing damage. The operator of the other involved vehicle refused to exchange paperwork and left the scene prior to police arrival. As a result of the subsequent investigation, a resident of Cambridge was identified as the other operator of the vehicle that fled. They will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Leaving the Scene of Property Damage and Marked Lanes due to the circumstances of the crash.

Cambridge Police observed a person with active warrants in the area of Cambridge Street and Felton Street. Mathew McFarland, 36, homeless of Cambridge, was placed under arrest for three warrants. As a result of the arrest, McFarland will also be charged with two counts of Possession of a Class B Substance, a single count of Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, a single count of Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, a single count of Possession of an Electric Stun Gun (to wit cattle prod), and four counts of Receiving Stolen Property under $1200.

Christopher Hagins, 43, unhoused, was observed by Cambridge Police Officers assaulting a female victim in Carl Barron Plaza. Hagins was taken into custody shortly after. A subsequent investigation revealed Hagins allegedly shouted racial slurs prior to punching the victim and spit on her as well. The victim's eyeglasses were destroyed during the assault. Hagins was charged with Civil Rights Violation with Injury, Assault and Battery, Destruction of Property under $1,200, and Wanton and Malicious.

Cambridge Police responded to Broadway and Columbia Street for a motor vehicle crash with a personal injury. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a pedestrian and her dog were stuck by the operator of a motor vehicle while crossing at a marked cross walk on Columbia Street. It was also discovered that the vehicle that struck the victim took illegal right hand turn on red while the victim had the cross signal. The operator is being charged in Cambridge District Court for Motorist Failed to Report Injury of Dog/Cat to Police, Leave Scene of Personal Injury, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Right on Red Where Prohibited, and Crosswalk Violation.
