On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at approximately 12:05 AM, Lens Altidor, 23, 56 Cherry Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for warrants out of Cambridge District Court (Failure to Stop/Yield, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Carjacking, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest and Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle).

KIRKLAND ST
Cambridge Police responded to Kirkland Street for a report of a crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist. All involved persons remained on scene and information was exchanged. There was minor damage to the motor vehicle, no damage reported to the bicycle, and a minor injury to the cyclist. Medical attention was refused.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Harvard Police officers observed an active disturbance between two individuals. Douglas Chin, 27, unhoused in Cambridge, was found to have kicked the victim with a shod foot. While investigating the incident, Chin attempted to flee. During and after officers’ attempts to place Chin in custody, he repeatedly kicked, scratched, and spit blood at officers on scene. Chin was placed under arrest. A search of Chin revealed several knives on his person. Chin will be charged with Resisting Arrest, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (shod foot), Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, and two counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer. Additionally, Chin was found to have warrants out of Quincy District Court and Cambridge District Court.

As a result, the operator, a resident of Malden, was issued a traffic citation and will be summons into court on the following charges: Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
