It is natural for people who have witnessed or been a part of a traumatic event to experience strong reactions, including fear, shock, helplessness, and physical symptoms. The Cambridge Community Response Network has partnered with Riverside Trauma Center to make a number of online resources available:

Anyone who is experiencing emotional distress from a traumatic incident may contact the Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone experiencing a serious crisis should contact your primary care provider, or in an emergency call 9-1-1.
