Roads Closed for MayFair on Sunday, May 7, 2023

Expect road closures, detours, and traffic impacts in the Harvard Square area on Sunday, May 7, due to the 38th Annual MayFair.

The annual celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature live music, beer gardens, artisan booths, and food vendors. Road closures and detours may be effect prior to and after the event to allow for preparation and clean-up. 

Road Closures Include:

  • JFK Street: Closed between Mt. Auburn Street and the Super Crosswalk (the crosswalk between the Harvard Square Kiosk and Harvard Coop)
  • Brattle Street: Closed between Super Crosswalk and Appian Way
  • Massachusetts Avenue: Closed between Super Crosswalk and Garden Street
  • Church Street: Closed 
  • Mt. Auburn Street: Closed between Eliot Street and JFK Street

Detours will redirect traffic to nearby roadways. Through traffic should seek alternate routes. 

The rain date for the festival is Sunday, May 21.
