The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) is accepting applications to the DHSP Preschool Lottery for the 2023-2024 academic year. There are 7 high-quality DHSP preschools located throughout Cambridge. All DHSP preschools are full-time programs, operating 5 days a week and 12 months each year.
The 2023-2024 application for the DHSP Preschool Lottery is closed. We will have more information in September of 2023 regarding our next Preschool Lottery
Children are considered age-eligible for preschool enrollment when they are between the ages of 2 years 9 months and 4 years 5 months. Cambridge children born between April 1, 2019 and December 5, 2020 are eligible to apply for 2023-2024 DHSP Preschool Lottery.
DHSP Preschool tuition rates are determined on a sliding scale based on income. The programs accept vouchers and significant tuition assistance is available for families who qualify.
The deadline to apply was October 31, 2022. Families will be notified in December 2022 of whether their child will be offered a seat at a DHSP Preschool or placed in the waiting pool.
