The Ethiopian Elder Group is creating a welcoming space where older adults who immigrated from Ethiopia can build friendships, access resources, and strengthen their independence in Cambridge. Learn how this community-led initiative, led by CEOC's Yemi Kibret and supported by City and nonprofit partners, has grown into a thriving program connecting more than 30 elders through education, wellness, and cultural celebration.
The CNA Training Program for English Language Learners includes classes at the CLC to prepare for a career in healthcare and strengthen English and math skills. Students also take a hands-on clinical class. Learn about a recent graduate's experience!

The Early Childhood Education Career Training Program is recruiting participants for its 2026-2027 cycle. This free program provides training and job experience for people who want to start a career as an infant, toddler or preschool teacher. The program runs from October 2026 to June 2027.
After studying at the Cambridge Community Learning Center (CLC) for 5 years, Dexy will graduate this June from two programs: CLC’s English Program (ESOL) and the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Career Training Program.
The Community Learning Center’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program provides adult learners with hands-on clinical experience and education to help them start a career as a healthcare professional.
At the Community Learning Center (CLC), we help students learn new skills and prepare for jobs. We also encourage them to be active members of the Cambridge community.
