The CLC’s High School Equivalency (HSE) Credential Program helps students prepare to take their GED or HiSET test. After passing one of these tests, students earn their High School Equivalency (HSE) Credential. Students need to pass several subject tests to earn their HSE Credential. Passing the math part of the HSE exam is a big obstacle for many of our students.
In response to community feedback, the Council on Aging is extending the Navigating Loss Conversational Group. Community members are invited to join the Council on Aging to explore grief and how it impacts our lives. We will also share resources, coping strategies, and personal experiences. All are welcome.
Fun Skate, an annual program offered by Recreation and Cambridge Public Schools, provides weekly skating lessons to Cambridge public elementary school students. This year, Fun Skate expects to serve close to 800 children through a program expansion that includes weekly visits to 2nd grade classrooms as part of Physical Education curriculum.
The CLC’s CNA Training Program offers education and hands-on clinical experience to help you start a career as a healthcare professional. Attend an information session in January to learn if this program is right for you.
The CLC offers three types of English classes in North Cambridge: Beginner conversation classes for older adults, English Class for Parents with Young Children, low to intermediate-level English classes at the CLC's North Cambridge location.
Did you know that community members can enjoy Fresh Pond Golf Course all winter? While the last day of golf for the 2024 season was December 9, the course will remain open for passive recreation during winter months.
This winter (January - March), the War Memorial will offer a variety of recreational programs for children and adults, including swimming instruction for all ages, youth gymnastics and tennis, karate, Zumba, and more!
Join us for an unforgettable performance of the original play "If These Walls Could Talk." All of the play's performers are participants in the program, which serves residents with disabilities who are age 11 and older.
