Analysis of the unofficial crime totals between January 1st and December 31st of 2022 indicates that violent crimes jumped 23% when compared with last year, with 71 additional crimes reported, and property crimes saw an uptick of 9%, with 198 additional crimes reported when compared with the end-of-the-year totals for 2021.

Four target crimes drove the increases this year with street robberies increasing, as well as housebreaks, larcenies from the building, and shopliftings. Read More.
