Analysis of crime totals for the first 11 months of 2022 indicates that violent crimes increased 25% when compared with 2021, with 71 additional crimes reported. Property crime registered an increase of 7% with 142 additional crimes counted through November 28, 2022. Three target crimes have recorded major increases this year, with street robberies increasing from 52 incidents to 75 crimes, housebreaks from 115 reports to 177 incidents, and larceny from building up 67 crimes when comparing the first 11 months of 2022 versus the same time frame last year.
