Office of Early Childhood
The Cambridge Office of Early Childhood (OEC) works to develop an easily accessed, aligned and coherent system of affordable high-quality education and care that begins with prenatal care and extends through third grade in Cambridge. OEC also oversees the Cambridge Preschool Program, which provides access to free preschool for all Cambridge 4-year-olds.
Street and Sidewalk Maintenance
The Street and Sidewalk Maintenance Division maintains 125 miles of streets, over 200 miles of sidewalks, and more than 5,000 curb ramps.
Safety Net Collaborative
The mission of Safety Net is to foster positive youth development, promote mental health, support safe school and community environments, and limit youth involvement in the juvenile justice system through coordinated prevention, intervention, and diversion services for Cambridge youth and families.

A crane carefully swung “Edge of the Forest,” a 12-foot-tall steel sculpture of a deer, into place in Vellucci Plaza, the heart of Cambridge’s Inman Square, on July 18. The sculpture's creator, Mark Reigelman watched as workers anchored it into place.
Exploring Careers at the CLC
The Career Connections Program (CCP) begins in January and helps adults who need to improve their English communications and/or math skills to think carefully about their interests, values, and job skills
