Children and their grown-ups are invited to this special kid-centered cookbook club! This month, we're celebrating Picnic Food! Bring a dish to share, or just come to talk about your experience with a chosen cookbook. No need to bring a dish to join. Visit Valente for a selection of cookbooks that are ready to check out. Please join the Cambridge Public Library in welcoming Cristanne Miller, the co-editor of The Letters of Emily Dickinson, for a reading and conversation moderated by the Library's Program and Events Coordinator, Zachary Bond. Named one of the Top 10 "Books We Love" by Fresh Air. In her review, Maureen Corrigan called this edition, a major expansion on previous editions, "probably the closest thing we’ll ever have to an intimate autobiography of Emily Dickinson."

Anyone can make a delicious herbal tea blend! In this class, presented by herbalist Mo Katz-Christy, we will discuss a handful of common herbs for tea: their uses, flavors, energies, and what they add to a blend. We will smell each of the herbs and taste some as well, learning how the flavors blend and how they complement each other. Part information and science, part sensory exploration, this class will be as playful as it is educational! Bring your own jar to take your tea blend home. Registration is required and will open May 15.

World Space Week runs October 4-10, 2025. Celebrate with an after school activity. Supplies will be provided to design your own galaxy or solar system. Recommended for ages 4-10 with a caregiver.
