  • Longfellow Park Steps Restoration Project

    Beginning the week of April 2nd and continuing for the next two months, weather permitting, the Department of Public Works, in collaboration with the Cambridge Historical Commission, will be working to restore the steps and stone retaining walls at Longfellow Park.

  • Spring Showers Bring Limited Time Offer on Rain Barrels

    Capture the rainwater from your roof and store it in a rain barrel for later use in your garden. Purchase a 60-gallon rainwater collection system for $69.00 now through May 27th. Delivery is scheduled for Thursday, June 1st , from 4:30 -7:00 p.m. at the Cambridge DPW yard, 147 Hampshire Street.

  • Public Meeting- Stormwater Management Program

    The Cambridge Department of Public Works is holding a public meeting to discuss the City’s efforts in the implementation of its Stormwater Management Program on Tuesday, March 27, from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M., Department of Public Works, Frazier Conference Room, 147 Hampshire Street.

    The City has compiled a list of local retailers that carry compostable bags for your kitchen bins.

  • Commonwealth Ave Bridge Replacement Project

    The next intensive construction phase for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s (MassDOT) upcoming Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Replacement Project is scheduled to take place between Thursday, July 26, 2018 and Saturday, August 11, 2018.
