Roadway Enhancements - May 2016

Beginning Monday, May 16th, and continuing through Friday, May 27th (weather permitting), the City’s contractor, US Pavement, will perform roadway grinding operations to enhance the road conditions in areas on the following streets:

  • Jefferson St from Warren to Marion
  • Binney St from Third to Sixth
  • Banks St from Flagg to Mt. Auburn
  • Trowbridge St from Harvard to Broadway
  • Kirkland St from Sumner to Quincy
  • Bond St from Garden to Concord
  • Humboldt St
  • Chetwynd Rd
  • Channing Pl
Roadway grinding is expected to be completed in two days (weather permitting).

Residents who have vehicles parked in the work area will need to move them prior to the beginning of operations at 7am.

Final roadway paving is expected to occur the week of May 16th or May 23rd. Please check No Parking signs for important information.

What to Expect during Roadway Reconstruction:
  • Work hours will be 7 AM to 5 PM.
  • Vehicle access in and out of properties will be limited during work hours. Please plan vehicle and parking trips accordingly.
  • “No Parking” signs will be posted 24 hours in advance of the work; please be sure to check dates/times. 
  • Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
