Desi Powell, an HVAC Technician in the Building Maintenance Division, was chosen for this recognition because he exhibits focus on the tasks and demands of his job. His hard work is evidenced by his teamwork and timely completion of projects. Desi joined Public Works in June 2015.

“Desi has strong customer service skills which have been brought to the attention of his supervisors on several occasions by members of the community,” said Commissioner O’Riordan. “He pays attention to detail, listens well, is responsible, and very reliable.”

Marc Selby, a Gardener in the Parks and Forestry Division, is a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional and a Certified Playground Safety Inspector, and was honored for being a commendable worker who is self-motivated and highly reliable. Marc joined Public Works in April 2014.
