The City of Somerville will be undertaking construction along the Community Path, between Buena Vista Rd. and the Cambridge city line, to improve drainage and to make critical repairs to the retaining wall.

Construction on the Community Path is expected to begin the week of July 23 and last through early November. The path will be closed to bikers and pedestrians during this time. To see detour routes, please head to www.somervillema.gov/communitypathclosure

The path will be paved to a temporary useable condition for the winter, and final paving is scheduled for May 2019. (Please note: These dates are subject to change pending additional review by the MBTA.)

Typical work hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Impacts to your street may include temporary parking restrictions, as well as increased vehicular traffic.
