Public Works clears snow and ice from all 125 miles of public streets in Cambridge, as well as from 23 miles of public sidewalks.  The Department also enforces the City's Snow and Ice Removal Ordinance. Register for snow emergency alerts using CodeRED.

The winter of 2015 was one to remember. In June 2015, city officials held a community meeting to discuss the snow removal operations during this historic winter. We invite you to view the video that was taken at the meeting.
