Meryl Brott Giving Recycling Presentation

Public Works provides recycling and compost collection and educational assistance to all Cambridge Public Schools.

All Cambridge Public Schools have single stream recycling as well as composting in the cafeteria. The district recycles an average of 350 tons per year, and since 2009 has composted more than 440 tons of leftover food and dirty paper.

The City's Recycling Program Manager helps schools to recycle and compost. Senior custodians, school administrators, teachers and staff are encouraged to reach out with questions and for assistance. Some of the recycling and composting resources for the public schools.

Contact the Recycling Program Manager for more information, including resources available to private schools in Cambridge.
