Recycle clean and empty bags at the Recycling Center during open hours, or at local supermarkets. Why aren't plastic bags accepted in the curbside recycling?
Plastic bags jam equipment at the recycling facility, causing costly delays and repairs. Plastic bags collected at drop off locations are compacted into a big cube called a bale. The bale is sent to companies that make new products from recycled materials such as plastic lumber, crates and pipes.
