Proof of Residency
When you apply for a Resident Parking Permit or a Visitor Parking Permit, you can provide the following documentation as proof of your Cambridge residency:
A current utility bill (gas, electric, telephone or cable) in your name sent to you at your Cambridge address dated within the previous 30 days. The bill may be one mailed to you or an online bill that you printed out. If you are applying for a resident parking permit, the bill must be in the same name and address as your vehicle registration.
Two pieces of mail sent to you at your Cambridge address dated within the previous 30 days. Examples of acceptable mail include bank statements, credit card statements or a statement from your insurance company. If you are applying for a resident parking permit, this mail must be in the same name and address as your vehicle registration.
Online statements reflecting your Cambridge address from the past 30 days are acceptable.
Items NOT acceptable as proof of residency
Cambridge does not accept the following as proof or residency:
- Driver's License
- Lease (except for Temporary Resident Parking Permits)
- Mortgage Statement
- Shut Off Notice
- Change of Address Form
- W2 Forms
