Demolition Permit

Inspectional Services

Contractor responsible for demolition must provide the following to obtain a permit:

  1. Site safety plan detailing hazards, potential hazards and steps taken to remedy;
  2. Map or drawing (8.5 x 11) indicating structure to be demolished in relation to surrounding buildings;
  3. Contact Cambridge Fire Detail Office, firedetail@cambridgefire.org to schedule detail 48-72 hours in advance. They will determine details required based on scope of work;
  4. $75 Check payable to: City of Cambridge;
  5. Contractor is responsible for all permits required through other departments (i.e. Inspectional Services, Water departments).
