The Cambridge Room houses the Cambridge Public Library’s Archives and Special Collections and provides a range of services about all things Cambridge. Our rich collection of research materials includes books about Cambridge, city directories and reports, archival documents, maps, photographs, and the complete run of the Cambridge Chronicle. Collections open to researchers are easily searchable. Online collections include the Historic Cambridge Newspaper Collection, the Cambridge City Directories, and Digital Collections. Our reading room is located on the 2nd Floor of the Main Library. Microfilm of the Cambridge Chronicle and city directories may be used even when the Room is closed. A listing of all available microfilm is here.
