Who doesn't need a good laugh? We will be focusing on New Yorker cartoons for our meeting, November 19 12 noon in the Beech Room. At the last meeting, we chose a specific issue, October 19, to look at with an eye for each cartoon in the issue, including the Cartoon Caption Contest in the back pages.
We will have a complementary book (a book length book!) on the table as well. It is How about Never – Is Never Good for You? My Life in Cartoons by Bob Mankoff, Cartoon Editor of the New Yorker. It isn't required reading, but a number of us have mentioned that we will be dipping into this memoir- and I'm sure it'll be referenced in the conversation-- if you have time, check it out, too.
Get your copy of Mankoff's memoir on hold today at this link.
