City of Cambridge Hosts Fair Housing for All! Event on Saturday, April 27, 2024

Cambridge, MA, March 12, 2024 -- The City of Cambridge invites the Cambridge community to its Fair Housing for All! event on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., in the Ballroom and Dining Room at Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave. This in-person event will highlight the numerous services and programs offered in Cambridge that address a range of housing needs.

The city departments organizing this event are the Housing Division of the Community Development Department, Cambridge Human Rights Commission, the City Manager’s Office of the Housing Liaison, the Department of Human Service Programs, and Cambridge Public Library. Representatives from these city agencies and local non-profit organizations that provide affordable housing; homelessness, eviction and foreclosure prevention services; landlord/tenant mediation; first-time home-buyer resources; enforcement of housing discrimination laws, and more, will be available to meet with participants.

At 11:30 a.m., join the Cambridge Human Rights Commission (CHRC), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), and the Cambridge and Somerville Legal Services (CSLS) for an informative discussion about housing rights in Cambridge and statewide! Attendees will learn about what each agency does, learn about the different forms of housing discrimination, and learn about various outcomes of the complaint process. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the panel

This event is free and open to all. No advance registration is necessary. Childcare will be provided. For more information about the event, please visit tinyurl.com/2024fairhousing
