Schedule a Marriage Ceremony

City Clerk's Office

A marriage intention must be completed prior to scheduling the marriage ceremony.

To schedule a marriage ceremony at Cambridge City Hall, please visit Schedule online

IF THE CEREMONY IS TO BE HELD IN CITY HALL, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Marriage ceremonies performed by the Cambridge City Clerk's Office are by appointment only.
  • There is no guarantee the Sullivan Chamber or any other rooms in City Hall are available as these rooms are, first and foremost, reserved for City business.
  • This is a Civil Ceremony, and the Justice of the Peace uses standard vows.  The entire ceremony takes less than 10 minutes.
  • You can take photos in the room where you are married.  YOU CAN NOT TAKE PHOTOS IN THE HALLWAY OR ON THE STAIRS.

While it does not happen often, the Justice of the Peace may be out sick or have an unforeseen emergency and therefore not available to perform the ceremony.  Should this happen, the Clerk's Office will contact you as soon as possible, and provide a list of Justices of the Peace in Cambridge.

Justices of the Peace.
