            The following are the matters which the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed or voted upon as of 10:00 a.m., without public testimony. 

           

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS:

  1. Eric Propp on behalf of the Garment District has applied for one day licenses for July 21, August 18, 2016.  These date are in addition to two one day licenses that have already been approved for this location.  More information was requested.
  1. The Board will discuss the proposed amendments to the Alcohol and Entertainment Rules and Regulations of the License Commission.
  1. The Massachusetts State Lottery Commission has notified the License Commission that Inman Sq. Wine & Spirits has applied for Keno to Go.
  1. MIT has filed a request for a Change to License/Corporation for LIN10007, 407 Memorial Drive, Gamma Pi of Kappa Sigma Fraternity Corporation to The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Dennis Collins, Director of Housing, will be the contact person for this location.
  1. Cancellation of the following licenses for ceasing to operate:

LIN10051 and LIN10050, Nicholas LaFauci; LIN10130, Lincoln Inn Society; LIN10039, United Home for Children; OAP10093, Rosanne Amore-Maslak; ANT10003, Hourglass Tattoo Studios; ANT10004, 1111Cambridge Vintage; LLS10001, Blue Moon Lime; LLS10007 Providence Limo Transportation; LLS10008 Cambridge Accessible Cab; LLS10010 East West bridge, LLC; SHG10001, Superior Market; SHG10002, Metamorphosis; SHG10003, Superior Market; SHG10005, Tone Broke Guitars, Inc.

  1. Mohammad Kamal, a Cambridge resident, has requested a letter for Massport, to allow him to operate his livery vehicle there.
  1. The Board of License Commissioners will have a discussion regarding the necessity to advertise the following license categories as there is no statutory requirement: common victualler; change of Common Victualler hours; increase of seats; vendor/peddler; antique; second hand goods; used car dealer; farmer winery for farmer’s markets.

MALT & WINE LICENSES WITH OR WITHOUT ENTERTAINMENT:

 

  1. Dhruba Ghimire, has applied for a malt and wine license with entertainment (Patrons dancing) to be exercised at St. Anthony Parish Hall, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, Cambridge, on 8/27/16 from 6:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. for a women’s festival. Expected attendance - 250 people.

  1. Lesly Serigny, has applied for a malt and wine license to be exercised at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, 700 Main Street Lobby, Cambridge, on 7/19/16 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. for a reception.  Expected attendance – 120 people.
  1. Arlyn dePagter, has applied for a malt and wine license to be exercised at MIT, 100 Main Street, Cambridge, on 7/10/16 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for a reception/dinner. Expected attendance – 55 people.

Susan Fleischmann, on behalf of CCTV, has applied for a malt and wine license with entertainment (Performers/entertainers dancing, Recorded/live music and Amplification system) to be exercised behind CCTV 438 Massachusetts Avenue on Green Street in parking lot, Cambridge, on 9/22/16 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for a BBQ fundraiser. Expected attendance – 250 people.

  1. Bill Manley, on behalf of the Harvard Square Business Association, has applied for an entertainment license for Patrons, Performers/entertainers dancing, Recorded/live music and Amplification system for the 3rd annual salsa squared at Brattle Plaza, Harvard Square, Cambridge, on 7/22/16 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Expected attendance – 300 people.

  1. Laura Graziano, has applied for an entertainment license for Recorded/live music and Amplification system for a Tenant appreciation event at Rogers Street Park, 71 Rogers Street, Cambridge, on 7/20/16 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Expected attendance – 1300 people.

  1. Jenny McBride, on behalf of Inman Square Business Association has applied for a vendor’s permit for Ole Restaurant to sell food outside of Vellucci Plaza in a parking spot on 7/14/16 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
