Description

The DIYDS!! festival, is the longest-running youth-curated film and video festival in the country. Created in 1996 by four inner-city teenage girls who felt misrepresented in the media, these youth wanted their videos seen by a wider audience. The festival now serves as an opportunity for young people to gain important leadership experience and public speaking skills, as well the chance to use video as a medium for communicating issues that are relevant to them.
