  6. Working Group Reports  
    1. Communications – We are planning on creating a new pamphlet or brochure to give people more applicable/actionable information in addition to generic information about what the LGBTQ+ Commission is. For example, ways they can get involved, or information relevant to LGBTQ+ people about how to navigate city systems and policies, like domestic partnership or housing. Anyone interested in helping out should contact Bill Barnert <TheBilby@gmail.com> or Linden Huhmann <LindenHuhmann@gmail.com>. 
    2. Events –  SAGE Table (free multi-generational LGBTQ+ dinner) - Connecting and celebrating through intergenerational meals. The Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commission is excited to host our first SAGE Table! Join us for dinner and discussion at the Cambridge Public Library Community Room. We will have tables arranged for conversation guided by facilitators while we eat dinner. The goal is to connect LGBTQ+ community members across generations who can listen and learn from and about each other. All ages, identities, abilities, and allies are welcome. Caretakers, parents, and guardians welcome. Register: RSVP Required.     3. Fair and Affordable Housing Event - Join us for the City of Cambridge's Fair Housing for All event on Saturday, April 27 at the Cambridge Senior Center at 806 Massachusetts Avenue from 11:00am-2:30pm. No registration required. From 11-2:30 p.m., representatives from City departments, local organizations, and non-profits will be available to answer questions and provide resources related to fair and affordable housing in Cambridge, including: Affordable housing programs Homelessness, eviction, and foreclosure prevention services Landlord / tenant mediation resources Legal resources for housing in Cambridge Enforcement of housing discrimination laws At 11:30 a.m., join the Cambridge Human Rights Commission (CHRC), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), and the Cambridge and Somerville Legal Services (CSLS) for an informative discussion about housing rights in Cambridge and statewide! Attendees will learn about what each agency does, learn about the different forms of housing discrimination, and learn about various outcomes of the complaint process.     4. Transgender Day of Visibility - Transgender Day of Visibility (TDoV) is celebrated internationally on March 31. Follow the LGBTQ+ Commission on instagram to learn some local transgender history on TDoV! Some local events you might be interested in are:  Arlington TDoV - Saturday March 30th, 1:30pm (doors open at 1:00) - Hear the stories of our panel and their answers to questions from the community. Pre-registration is not required for the event, but it will help them ascertain interest and plan refreshments accordingly. And you can submit questions for the panel on the registration form.   Belmont TDoV - Wed. March 27-Thursday, April 4, Belmont LGBTQ+ Alliance will put up a display celebrating the lives/accomplishments of transgender individuals at the green space in front of the bank at the corner of Leonard St./Concord Ave. in Belmont center.     5. LGBTQ+ Film Series - Cambridge residents age 60 and older are invited to join the LGBTQ+ Film Series, held at 10 a.m. on the last Tuesday of each month at the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.). View and discuss movies with LGBTQ+ themes and content. Friends, family members, caretakers and allies are also encouraged to participate. The next three films in the series will be: Tuesday Mar 26, 10:00am – Who I Am Not (2023) Tuesday, Apr 30, 10:00am – The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert (1994, Rated R) Tues.     6. LGBTQ+ Commission Social Event –In lieu of our April meeting, the Commission will be holding a social event for Commissioners & Staff.

    10. Recruitment - Carolina will be leading the recruitment drive for new Commissioners, and she will need two Commissioners to help her interview candidates. Please consider helping her.
