Description

This lecture will include a brief description of the anatomy of the ear and elucidation of how we hear.

It will then focus on the impact of hearing loss on one’s lifestyle.
Different types, causes and degrees of hearing loss will be discussed.

The presentation will conclude with explanation about different types of hearing aids, assistive listening devices and communication strategies, all of which are geared toward helping people hear better and ensure a better quality of life.
