Description

Come learn how the Cambridge Water Department purifies drinking water after it flows from the suburbs 10 miles west of Cambridge to nearby Fresh Pond, and then into our facility! Participants will learn about the range of Water Department activities that are required to manage, treat and deliver water to your tap. You’ll have the chance to speak with water treatment staff, see the equipment in action, and check out our water quality lab!  This is the last tour of the year before we pause for the winter, to restart again in April. Please call ahead if coming with a large group.
