• Petition continued (1st time) from August 20, 2015 P&C hearing. Continued for further review of project. Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA 02143, for the following: Foster Street – Easterly from Pole 274/11 approximately 60 feet west of Sparks Street a distance of about 41 feet – conduit. This work is necessary to supply power for water sampling station (W.O. #2065717).

Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA 02143, for the following: Columbus Avenue – At and westerly from Harrison Avenue at Pole 167/8 a distance of about 39 feet – conduit. This work is necessary to supply power to a new water sampling station (W.O. #2065733).

Comcast, 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA 01864, for the following: 55 Cambridge Parkway – From Center Island on Edwin Land Boulevard in front of 55 Cambridge Parkway, install one new manhole over existing Comcast Conduit. Trench 66’ easterly across 3 lanes to the private property line of 55 Cambridge Parkway installing 1 – 4” conduit. This will include the removal and replacement of 2 sidewalk panel.

• New Petition Comcast, 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA 01864, for the following: 131 Harvard Street – From existing Comcast Manhole on Harvard Street, trench 29’ southeasterly then an additional 19’ northerly to the private property line of 131 Harvard Street. Install 1-4” conduit in the public way. This will include the removal and replacement of the sidewalk panel.

Three individual service drops will then be run to 145 First Street.

• New Petition Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 77 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139, for the following: The services under this application will originate in an existing telecommunications manhole on Technology Square Drive. The conduits will cross Portland Street heading southwest and finally up Washington Street. They will terminate at Building #17, part of the Washington Elms Development, owned by the Cambridge Housing Authority.
The project consists of 2-4” diameter conduits encased in concrete. The conduits, under this petition, will share in a trench with two proposed Comcast duct banks, previously approved by the Pole and Conduit Commission and will be for the purpose of providing free outdoor Wi-Fi to the Newtowne Court and Washington Elms Development.

Crown Castle NG East LLC, 1220 Augusta Drive, Suite 600, Houston, TX 77057, for the following: Third Street – To install a new decorative street light pole adjacent to the untagged wood pole (which is scheduled for removal) at the corner of Third Street and Linskey Way, and to install telecommunications equipment and pole top antenna as shown on either of the plans: Design Option 1 or Design Option 2 (Node N079).

Crown Castle NG East LLC, 1220 Augusta Drive, Suite 600, Houston, TX 77057, for the following: Gardner Street – An extension of fiber optic cable network from Pole 14 at the corner of Amory Street and St. Mary Road, easterly in new conduit approximately, 319 feet to a new 3X3 manhole at Prospect Street, then northerly in new conduit approximately 99 feet to a new 3X3 manhole at Gardner Street, continuing easterly approximately 92 feet to Pole 295/6, then aerial to Pole 295/4 on Gardner Street, with installation of equipment on Pole 295/4 (Node N059).

• Petition continued (1st time) from August 20, 2015 P&C hearing. Continued for further review and to petition entire route. MassDOT paperwork in progress. Crown Castle NG East LLC, 1220 Augusta Drive, Suite 600, Houston, TX 77057, for the following: An extension of the fiber optic cable network beginning at Level 3 Manhole 0515-0308 on the easterly end of Cambridge Street southerly in new conduit (approximately 33’) to a new 3X3 manhole, then easterly approximately 206’ in conduit to the jurisdictional boundary with Massachusetts Highway (MassDOT). This extension is necessary to feed two additional nodes within MassDOT jurisdiction.

• New Petition XO Communications, 13865 Sunrise Valley Drive, Herndon, VA 20171, for the following: Broadway and Third Street - Place 2-4” conduits beginning at the existing Level 3 Communications Manhole #1200, located on Third Street immediately north of the intersection with Broadway, thence running in an easterly direction for approximately 74 feet, directly across Third Street, into a prosed point of entry in the basement of One Broadway.

• New Petition XO Communications, 13865 Sunrise Valley Drive, Herndon, VA 20171, for the following: Plympton Street – Place 1-4” conduit beginning at the existing Verizon Manhole 26/213 located at the intersection of Plympton Street and Mt. Auburn Street, thence running in a northeasterly direction along Plympton Street for approximately 219 feet, crossing Bow Street, to the existing Telephone Pole 4 on the easterly side of Plympton Street onto which a 4” galvanized steel riser will be installed.

• New Petition XO Communications, 13865 Sunrise Valley Drive, Herndon, VA 20171, for the following: Third Street and Linskey Way – Place 2-4” conduits beginning at the existing Level 3 Communications Manhole #1202, located on Third Street just north of Linskey Way, thence running approximately 350 feet along Third Street to Linskey Way, then east along Linskey Way. The conduits will then continue traveling east along Linskey Way for approximately 366 feet to a second proposed manhole. At the second proposed manhole, 4” conduit (“Lateral A”) will proceed in a northerly direction for approximately 19 feet into the future site of 100 Binney Street. A 4” conduit from manhole 2 (“Lateral B”) will proceed east along Linskey Way to Second Street, then north and east along Second Street to the future site of 50 Binney Street, running for a total length of approximately 250 feet. Another 4” conduit form manhole 2 (“Lateral C”) will proceed east along Linskey Way to Second Street, then southeast into the corner of the existing building at 215 First Street, running for a total length of approximately 177 feet.
