Raise a glass to all things Bach with a program of works either composed by or inspired by the Bach family, including J.S.Bach’s Jesu Meine Freude, Mendelssohn’s Op. 65 Organ Sonata in D minor, C.P.E. Bach’s motet Der Kampf der Tugend, and J.C. Bach’s C-minor sonata for fortepiano. These notables stand at the head of J.S. Bach’s enduring influence on generations of composers and keyboardists – a bacchanal of Bach two and a half centuries long.
