Description

Imagine out of a soundless world the creation of masterpieces of Western music. By 1824, the year of the only performance of Missa Solemnis during Beethoven's life, Beethoven was totally deaf. Yet Missa Solemnis includes some of the most challenging music written for chorus, is revered for its grandeur, virtuosity, scale, and spectacle.

Join the Back Bay Chorale and Orchestra along with a stellar group of soloist for a performance of the work that Beethoven considered his great achievement.
