Description

Make your voice heard! If you're a Cambridge resident 12 years of age or older, YOU can VOTE on how to spend $500,000 from the City's Capital Budget. Join us at the Main Library on Sunday, March 22 from 2-4pm in the Beech room to vote for your favorite participatory budgeting projects.

Background:
In December, community members shared over 300 ideas for capital projects to improve the community. From January-March, 40+ volunteer Budget Delegates developed project proposals to meet community needs. Voting will take place from March 22-28, 2015. Please visit www.cambridgema.gov/yourbudget to vote online or to find a list of in-person voting locations.

There will be about 20 projects on the ballot for capital improvements related to:

  • Culture & Community Facilities
  • Environment, Public Health & Public Safety
  • Parks & Recreation
  • Streets & Sidewalks
