Curbside pickup of food scraps expands in Cambridge October 19! The pilot program of 600+ households in North Cambridge was so successful, that 5,000 more households will be added in the Monday route. Eligible residences are single family homes and multi-family buildings with 12 units or less and City trash pickup. Bins, bags and instructions to collect food scraps will be delivered to eligible households from October 6-14. The first weekly pick-up will be on Monday, October 19.

Staff from the Department of Public Works will host a Question & Answer Community Forum on the curbside composting program expansion:
