Description

Parker Street between Concord Avenue and Buckingham Street is scheduled for roadway work in the summer of 2016.

The City of Cambridge has received requests from residents for traffic calming on Parker Street, and city staff would like to work with residents to discuss possible physical changes to the road that could be incorporated in this project to slow vehicles and increase pedestrian safety.

The Community Development Department and Department of Public Works will host a community meeting at the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Lower School located at 10 Buckingham Street in Cambridge on Wednesday, December 2nd at 6:30 pm.  The meeting will be held in the school’s gymnasium and attendees are asked to enter this brick building via a door off Parker Street.

The focus of this meeting will be to hear neighbors’ concerns and provide information about options for the street. We encourage you to attend, as we value the feedback we receive from Cambridge residents and businesses.

We invite you to attend the meeting and share your thoughts regarding Parker Street with other community members.  Please contact us with questions or comments (see below).
