Description

The City of Cambridge will begin the process of developing a Feasibility Study in 2015 for the reconstruction of King Open School on Cambridge Street, as it has been identified as the second school for the new Innovation Agenda adopted by the School Committee in March 2011. The City has retained William Rawn Associates, Architects Inc. with Arrowstreet Inc. to produce the feasibility study.

On Thursday, January 8 (in the King Open School Auditorium from 6:00pm-7:30pm), the City of Cambridge will be hosting the first of many public meetings to begin the community process for the King Open and Cambridge Street Upper School & Community Complex. City staff and contracted architects will be in attendance to lead the discussion. Below is a preview of the meeting’s agenda:

  •          Project team introduction
  •          Project scope defined
  •          Review of project schedule
  •          Protocol for information & feedback between community meetings
  •          Listening Session (site, program, neighborhood issues/opportunities)

* The formal presentation will begin promptly at 6pm.
