Description

Come celebrate the life of beloved puppeteer and local Cambridge Street Performer Igor Fokin, who left us suddenly 20 years ago. The untimely departure of this deeply respected artist, friend and family man left an unfillable void in the community lead and to the creation of a statue of one of his favorite puppets to commemorate his memory.  This statue, part of the City of Cambridge’s Public Art Collection, is positioned in Brattle Plaza in Harvard Square near the pitch where he performed his shows for many years.   We invite the community, all those who loved him and know him and even those that didn’t but have maybe heard his tale to come and join us as we remember this local icon with song, music, and words.

This event is being programed by Alex “The Jester” Feldman in partnership with Cambridge Arts.

If you would like to become involved with the programing of the event please contact Alex directly at alex@alexthejester.com.
