Description

Are you interested in identifying planets and constellations? Have you ever wondered how telescopes work? Explore the night sky with high school interns from the Science Research Mentoring Program (SRMP)! 

The Cambridge STEAM Initiative, in partnership with the Science Research Mentoring Program (SRMP) team at Center for Astrophysics | Harvard and Smithsonian and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, is hosting a Community Astronomy Night run by SRMP's high school interns.

Join us at indoor and outdoor activities stations focused on:

  • Putting together Galileoscopes 
  • Viewing planets and stars with Celestron telescopes and Galileoscopes (assisted by Center for Astrophysics staff)
  • Identifying constellations in the night sky
  • Information about the upcoming eclipse (poster that tracks the eclipse across the US and eclipse glasses give away)

No registration necessary - just come by! We hope you will join us!
