            The following are the matters which the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed or voted upon as of 5:30 p.m., without public testimony. 

 

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS:

 

1.         Deferred from April 19, 2016. Transfer and change of location of Common Victualler All Alcoholic Beverages License to Sumiao Xiang Restaurant, LLC d/b/a Sumiao’s, at 270 Third Street.  Matter was deferred because there was no lease. 

 

 

 

2.         Shawmut Design has applied for a Special Noise Variance to be exercised at 345 Vassar Street from May 14, 2016 through May 21, 2016 from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm for a crane set up and idling trucks. 

 

 

 

3.         Holly Heslop and Charlie Christopher have applied to hold the West Side Lounge license, 1680 Massachusetts Avenue, in inactive status.

 

 

 

4.         ATV, Inc. d/b/a Tags Hardware, has applied to change the manager from Margaret Morgan to Senneth Berrier.

 

 

 

5.         Keith Pascal, on behalf of Life Alive, 765 Massachusetts Avenue, has applied to increase their hours to open at 8:00 am and close at 11:00 pm, 7 days per week. They currently close at 10:00 pm.

 

 

6.         Mona Lisa Restaurant, Inc. at 1621 Cambridge Street has filed a Waiver of Rehearing for Failure to Timely Renew their 2016 Entertainment License 

 

 

7.         Michael Glancy, on behalf of W.H. Glancy & Sons has applied for a Special Noise Variance to be exercised on May 21, 2016, ending on May 22, 2016 from 5 am until 8pm at 105 Massachusetts Avenue, for hoisting an HVAC unti on to Building 9 at MIT.  This involves back up alarms, truck engines and crane booms.


 8.        Samantha Glancy, on behalf of W.H. Glancy & Sons has applied for a Special Noise Variance to be exercised on May 28, 2016, ending on May 28, 2016 from 5 am until 6pm at Vassar Street, MIT Building 31, for hoisting an HVAC at MIT.  This involves back up alarms and  truck engines.   


   

            The following are matters which the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed, and for which public testimony will be taken, as of 5:30 p.m.

 

1.         Rule Proposal    The Commission will accept a total of 30 minutes of public comments/testimony on the proposed changes to the Rules and Regulations.  Written comments may also be submitted to the Commission at the time. 

 

 

 

 

2.         Application      Indulge India, LLC has applied for a Peddler/Vendor License to operate a mobile food truck at 150 Cambridgepark Drive on Fridays from 11:00a.m. to 2:30p.m.

 

 

 

 

3.         Application      Sun N Sun, Inc. d/b/a Surya Indian Kitchen n Catering, has applied for a Common Victualler License at 114 Magazine Street with a proposed seating capacity of 18 and proposed hours of 10:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. seven days per week, Gopal Rungta as proposed manager of record. Premise is described as: 1st floor restaurant with open seating plan/kitchen.

 

 

 

 

4.         Application      Caffe Nero Americas, Inc. d/b/a Caffe Nero, has applied for a Common Victualler License at 589 Massachusetts Avenue with a proposed seating capacity of 60 inside and 14 seasonal patio seats on the public sidewalk with proposed hours of 6:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. seven days per week, Nora Haley as proposed manager of record. Premise is described as: Restaurant with 2 dining areas, lounge and service counter on the ground floor. Storage, kitchen, and bathrooms in the basement. Seasonal outdoor seating on public property.

 

 

 

 

 

5.         Informational  Fawaz Abu Rubayah d/b/a Bab Al Amod for clarification of the number of seats at 148-150 Western Avenue pursuant to BZA case #9901.

 

 

 

 

6.         Application      Moksa, LLC d/b/a MONROE, holder of a Common Victualler All Alcohol License at 450 Massachusetts Avenue for a Change of Manager to Brig Dauber.

 

 

 

 

7.         Application      MJ. Auto Sales, Inc. has applied for a Used Car Dealers License Class II, Office Only, at 2380 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 109.
